Yard Direct Ltd (YARDdirect & YARDfixt)

We're always upfront, with no obscure language. That's why you'll find our T&Cs laid out in simple terms that you can understand.

We are YARD Direct Ltd. Trading as YARD we are a company registered at in Scotland 5 Glen Tye Road, Stirling, UK, FK7 7LH (SC446491). When you (the person named on the order) place an order with us, we will do business with you under the following terms.

We're passionate about our customers and making sure that you're happy. We believe you will in return be honest with us and that forms a stronger bond than any terms and conditions could ever offer. We'll do everything we can to do right by you. If you're not happy with your product we offer a 30-day no-questions-asked returns guarantee. This means that you can send back your order for any reason within 30 days of us delivering it.

We will arrange collection of the products you want to return. You'll get a full refund for the product(s) provided they are returned in their original condition, original unopened packaging that hasn't been used or damaged. There will be a collection charge as stated in our Returns section.

Prices

We offer goods for sale through our website www.yarddirect.com

All the prices we display show and ex VAT and including VAT price. Delivery charges are calculated at the checkout based on product, location, and weight. You can see all our delivery options here.

Our 'Price Beat Promise' service matches the price of the identical product(s) including any delivery charges applied by the competitor. Click here for more information.

Our prices may change and printed material such as leaflets, fliers or advertisements will always show our best prices at the time of printing. During the period a leaflet is valid, we may offer things at a lower price. This could be a special offer or just an everyday price cut. Our website will always show one price, the lowest price we have. If you order from a leaflet which quotes a higher price, we will process your order at the lower price. We will always use the lowest price we are quoting at the time that your order is processed, and this will never be more than the valid prices published in our printed material.

VAT

The prices we quote always include VAT at the relevant rate.

Payment

We offer all our goods on a payment-with-order basis. This means you must pay us when you place the order. We can take payment by most credit cards and debit cards, PayPal or BACS / CHAPS funds transfer. Our trade centre also accepts cash. We will only accept your order if we receive the payment in full. We can provide credit accounts to a limited number of schools, local authorities and government-funded establishments under separate terms of business. Details on request.

Sending you your order

We will normally despatch your goods if stocked on the next working day, as long as we receive your order before 3.30pm. Some items do take longer, click here for more information. The goods become your property as soon as they are signed for in good condition.

Website Information

By this, we mean things like pictures and dimensions. The product dimensions are exactly that; dimensions of the product only. Any handles, accessories, controls and other features are not included in this description or dimensions. We try to ensure that our website information is accurate, but occasionally an image can have minor variations. Please bear this in mind when ordering.

Delivery

We will deliver your order to any address in the UK. For standard delivery, we use a national carrier and, in most cases, you will receive your goods within two to five working days. If you live in a remote area, or the carrier finds your address more difficult to find, your delivery may take a little longer. With some of the more remote areas such as the Highlands of Scotland, delivery can take several days. For some stock items, it may be possible to offer a next day service. Please call to enquire. Whether these options are available will depend on where you are and, in some cases, the time of day. We will confirm this with you at the time you place your order. Receiving orders

Unless we have your written authorisation to leave goods unattended, we will always need an authorised signature when delivering goods to you.

Availability

We aim to keep sufficient stock so that we never run out. However, at times when there is unexpectedly high demand, lead times may be extended. If this happens, your order may be delayed for a couple of days while we get new stock. We will use the contact information you have given on your order to let you know about the progress of your order. You may contact us at any time to check on the progress of your order.

Cancellation

If you want to cancel your order, you may do so at any time up until it has been dispatched. We normally pack and send out your order within 24 hours of it being placed. If you want to cancel the order, you should do so by phone or e-mail and we will confirm whether we have been able to do this.

30-day refund

Once we have sent out your order or you have collected it, you may return the goods for a full refund, without giving a reason, as long as the goods are with the original unopened packaging, unused and you do so within 30 days of buying them. There will be a collection charge as stated on our Returns page.

Manufacturer's Warranty

All our products have a Manufacturer's Warranty. Please contact us for further detail relating to your product.

Our Commitment

We are constantly updating our products, prices, and offers. We are confident of our technology and staff, but we realise that we occasionally may make mistakes. If we offer goods for sale incorrectly, we will always try to honour our offer. There may be the odd circumstance where it is not possible for us to do this. In these cases, we will contact you and explain the situation. If we cannot sort out the matter fairly with you, we can cancel your order and refund any payment you may have made.

Unexpected circumstances

If things like strikes, wars, acts of terrorism or even small things like power cuts interfere with our business with you, we will do our best to keep things going. However, we will not be legally responsible to you for any failure which is due to these unexpected circumstances or any other situation outside our control.

Age restrictions

Age restrictions apply to some goods we supply. By ordering these goods, you are confirming that you are over 18 and that the person receiving the delivery is also over 18.

Legal responsibility

Nothing in these terms of business should affect your legal rights or limit our legal responsibility for death, personal injury or fraudulent misrepresentation resulting from our negligence, or any other liability which we cannot limit or exclude by law. (This includes our legal responsibility under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987.) We will not compensate for delivery delays or failures. We will not be legally responsible to you for any losses which both we and you could not expect at the time you bought the goods. If you are a trade customer, we will not be legally responsible to you for any business losses.

Mobile Terms of Service

The YARD Direct Ltd mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by YARD Direct Ltd (“YARD Direct Ltd”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

By consenting to YARD Direct Ltd’ SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of YARD Direct Ltd through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialling system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with YARD Direct Ltd. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to YARDdirect or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other YARD Direct Ltd mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. You acknowledge that any messages, including any STOP or HELP requests, you send to a short code or telephone number we have changed may not be received and we will not be responsible for honouring requests made in such messages.

The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.

We respect your right to privacy. To see how we collect and use your personal information, please see our Privacy Notice.

We also strongly advise that you do not plan to install your YARD Direct products on the estimated delivery day. Do not book installers and tradespeople until you have your goods delivered and are you're happy with them. YARD will not be held responsible in any way for costs incurred by tradespeople due to delays in delivery.

Law

These terms of business will be governed by English law. Any disputes will be dealt with by the Scottish court system.
