Best of all they’re low maintenance, have a look at our blog on how to clean your VELUX windows for proof. We also recommend that you check out the VELUX Centre Pivot Roof Skylights that have a 10-year guarantee and the new ThermoTechnology that delivers a very low U-Value.
But How do I adjust them? We hear you, and we’re here to answer. Regardless of if you’re wanting to adjust your window to let some fresh air in, alleviate the risk of pesky condensation or give them a clean, it’s important to know how to do it properly.
Step 1: It is important to make sure your window is fully closed to start with.
Step 2: The bottom handle and the top ventilation bar should appear to be in their closed position.
Step 3: Once you’re certain your window is closed you’re now able to open the bottom handle, make sure that you do this gently and ensure not to push outwards on the window.
Step 4: Now it is time to open the top ventilation bar, you can do this by twisting the handle towards the glazing and pulling the vent bar down fully.
Step 5: You should now be able to rotate your window 180 degrees, it’s time to enjoy the lovely breeze.
Step 6: When you are ready to close your window you should simply be able to use the control bar to pull shut and then put your ventilation bar and bottom handle back into the closed position.
We hope this helped advise you on how to adjust your Centre Pivot Velux Window by 180 degrees, however, we recommended at the time of fitting you ask your fitter to go through the best practices for opening and closing your window and the range of available adjustments. We would also advise you to take notes if you feel you may forget important information. For some people, it may take a couple of goes to get the adjustment right, though once you know how to do it, it should be quick and simple.
