VELUX Product Safety Replacement

VELUX Roof windows of certain models may be at risk for spontaneous shattering, posing a risk of injury.

The affected products where sold between 1997 & 2003 with the pane code OOUE

The following codes pose the risk:

C widths with a pane width of 39cm. (For example C02)

F widths with a pane width of 48cm. (For example F06)

M widths with a pane width of 61cm. (For example M04)

The inner glass sheet of these products has been found to be at risk of spontaneous breakage causing glass to fall. This presents a risk of injury to anyone underneath or close to the window at the time of breakage. Cold temperature is a known factor in increasing the risk of breakage.
